The time is now

The time has come for our son to start driving. He just passed his drivers test, both written and driving, yesterday. My wife Cheryl and I decided that we would buy his first car for him. He’s a good kid so we definitely don’t mind doing that. We settled on an used Volvo that has pretty low mileage and of course is as safe as cars are built. We are going to be worried about him but knowing he’s driving one of the safest cars will help. We are going into the auto insurance company tomorrow with him to sign the papers and then he can drive us home. My wife of course wants to bring the camcorder to record this historic event. She records just about everything nowadays. I almost regret buying her the camcorder for Christmas last year but it does make her happy. I know our son will also be happy with his new wheels. He doesn’t know that we bought it for him yet; we’re going to surprise him tonight.
